STERLING, VA- The Dulles AC is a young, upcoming indoor soccer team, who will be playing in their inaugural season. The team calls the Dulles Sportsplex in Sterling, Virginia home. They have a home game coming up against the Winchester Impact on January 30th at 11:55 p.m.

The team is reaching out to the community for fan support at their games. “Having fans come out to games is great. It motivates us to play harder,” said Mid-Fielder Chris Chaves. The feeling is mutual among all of the players. As it is their inaugural season, they have not had a very great turn out at their first few home games. However, they think that as their fan base grows, so will their success.  Although the Force’s record is currently 1-3, they do believe fan support will boost that record. “We feed off of the noise and energy from the crowd. Having the Home Field advantage could be a game changer,” said Chaves.

Games at the Dulles Sportsplex are free and they are fun for the whole family. Indoor soccer games are, however, different from the soccer you may be used to. For instance, the field in the indoor game is significantly smaller than an outdoor field. Additionally, there are only six players on the field for each team at one time. Substitutions for these players are made on the fly, as you might see in a hockey game. Finally, there are no out-of-bounds, unless the ball hits the ceiling or goes over the walls. All of these factors together make for an extremely fast-paced, exciting game.

The Dulles AC is made up of 15 talented soccer players, all of whom are hungry for wins.  The team is coached by Scott Batchelder and managed by Emily Kirpichenko. The team competes in the Premier Arena Soccer League, or the PASL, and in the Virginia division of this National league. The team’s colors are black and white, and this upcoming home game on January 30th will be designated as a “black out.”

The Dulles AC would love to have YOUR support at their game against the Winchester Impact on January 30th at 11:55 p.m. Come to 21610 Atlantic Boulevard, The Dulles Sportsplex on this date. This game is a black out so make sure to be decked out in black! Arrive excited and ready to cheer your local players to victory!
